041SDK Release Date Announced

Microsoft released a statement this morning announcing that Survival mode (and the final two versus campaigns) will be released for Xbox360’s version of Left4Dead on April 21, 2009. This is a significant announcement both for Xbox360 players and PC players as, per historical VALVe tradition and because of a prior press release, we can expect the PC pack to release prior to that date.

The Survival Pack will include a new Survival mode where players have a limited amount of time to prepare for a never-ending zombie onslaught which they will try to survive for as long as possible. Survival mode will have 11 maps to choose from, including existing campaign sections and one new map created specifically for it entitled “Lighthouse.” Perhaps most importantly, though, the pack will include Versus versions of the two remaining unreleased campaigns, Dead Air and Death Toll.
